Marching French Horn

Marching French Horn

The Mellophone is often used in marching bands and horn bands to replace the F-brass of the Marching French Horn. The main reason for being replaced is that the front of the horn (replacing the rear of the French horn) can avoid sound dispersion or time difference due to the outdoor environment when playing or ensemble. In addition, in terms of pitch, you only need to adjust the tuning tubes individually, and you don’t need to use your right hand to adjust the pitch like the French horn. The fingering for the French horn is the same as for the trumpet.
